If he was Pie's age, I'd agree, but the guy is closer to retirement than being an actual rookie. He'll be on the downside of his career by the time he figures things out.

Why do so many people hate the cubs? Hell we got some alumni playing for them. Why not root for the cubs?

Cubs have a large fan base, and alot of people despise that. I have to admit I hate the Yankees.

Well..I just hate this billy goat shite and the way the fans treated Bartman was deplorable.
And I don't like how everybody still only talks about the Cubs in this city when the Sox have won in the past three years.
I'm a Sox fan. My experience is that no Sox fans like the Cubs or go for the Cubs.

People hate they have a large fanbase and are still popular even though they don't win.....that's why they are hated because no matter what their team won't be more popular.

Same for me with the Cowboys and Braves. I understand why people don't like the Cubs...it would annoy me too if my home team's ballpark was always filled with a particular opposing team's fans when that team came to town.
