I think Toews is kind of being overlooked. He had a good regular season of course, but also was a beast in the Olympics and now he's the scoring leader of the playoffs.
Toews is a godamned beast of beasts...he never takes a shift off and mark my words is going to be one of the greatest Hawks ever.....

I don't see a shutout. Philly has been scoring consistently during this win streak. I do think the home crowd is going to make a big difference and if the Habs can actually score first, they'll win. I'm thinking something like 3-2 Habs, but I wouldn't put any money on it. The Flyers have been playing great and I expect them to take one of these two in Montreal. But I'm going with the Habs in this one b/c I think they're going to play with a lot of desperation.

I think Halak stands on his head...i dunno why just a feeling...I think if Montreal wins this in a shutout Philla doesnt win in Montreal at all, but may win at home in a 7th game....again no empirical data just a feeling....

flyers win 3-1....leighton is the new halak......philly riding 6 game win streak and 13 goal streak....montreal can't score because they can't get bodies in front and philly is just the opposite...flyers D is too good to let full strength goals in, so unless a lot of penalties, i see it 3-1...

Not sure about that. The Habs are drained and it shows. They are NOT skating like they were the 1st two series. This could get ugly for them.

The one thing I will say is that I don't think the fact that the best playoff goaltenders have been "time-sharers" is a coincidence. It's a long season and the guys who had to start 60+ games understandably wear down as the playoffs progress. Niemi, Halak, Rask, and Leighton all had the benefit of being relatively fresh heading into the playoffs. Halak has faced a ton of shots over the last month. Leighton's injury may have been the best thing that could have happened to the Flyers. It's not a fluke that he's playing so well either; he was by far their best goalie in the regular season and posted excellent numbers. Then you look at the sub par performances of guys like Brodeur, Fleury, and Luongo (all played over 65 games) and it's hard not to think that there's something going on there as far as wear/fatigue.
