Not a crazy serious capper, just an enthusiast who resides in Vegas. Starting the season with a $1k bankroll.

My tickets thus far:

HOU/KC o54.5 $220 --
L -$220 / Net -$220

CIN +3.5 vs LAC $220 --
W +$200 / Net -$20

PHI -6 at WASH $220 --
L -$220 / Net -$240

*

Looking at ($110 bets):

LAC/CIN o42.5

ARI +7 at SF

ARI/SF u48

CLE +8 at BAL

TB/NO o48.5

Who y'all like this week?

51.5 pretty much all around town. Don't know what the MS books look like. I'll look closer at that game.

Listened to Warren Sharp earlier today and he was basically saying that he's going to be on a lot of overs early on. Said that the closest thing we've seen to this offseason was the 2011 Labor Dispute year and a pretty large number of overs hit early on because defenses were gassed in the second half.

Gonna bet some overs on opening weekend and test it out.

Many, if not most, NFL teams haven’t tackled anyone in camp. We are going to see a lot of sloppy play early in the season. It will be masked somewhat by everyone being sloppy, but defensive breakdowns and bad tackling are going to be at the forefront.

Yeah, gonna be some bad tackling and tired defenses. Lamar Jackson might rush for 250 yards vs the Browns.

I like the Bengals on the money line. Bet 100, cash your ticket for 250 at William Hill sports books - a little higher at some.

Word. Was probably gonna put the odd change left of my roll on that. Hunch says a ton of value on Burrow right now that's gonna quickly evaporate by October. I do WH and Westgate. The Circa in downtown Vegas opens late October. Their sportsbook is gonna be insane.

Hope those Ds do get gassed. Banking on it!

agree. And vegasinsider has the Brown's game on the William Hill board already - at 350 on the money line. Gonna grab a little of that if I can.

Friend of a friend of Dave Cokin said (fwiw) DC is all over that as well. Chatted with Cokin a few times, he's a CFB wiz, but also hit a respectable 61% NFL last year.

I may just close my eyes, hold my nose and donate the monthly church offering to the closest book on behalf of the spectacular city of Cleveland come early Sunday morning.

This is gonna be like last year when everyone talked themselves into taking the points with the Dolphins before they got beat down by the Ravens

Jags are going to be so bad

Last years week 1 thread for reference

People in there falling for the Jags vs the Chiefs too

I took the over (54.5) in tonight’s game.
-GB to beat MIN straight up
-Eagles -6 @ WAS
-over 42.5 for the eagles game
-over 48 in the Bucs/saints game
-over 52 in cowboys/rams game
-Titans -2.5 @Broncos

That’s my bet slip for week 1. What do y’all think?
