Remember when college football made a bunch of rule changes that were gonna shorten the games?

Yup, broadcast times stayed the same only the percentage of time that was gameplay vs. commercials changed and we all know which percentage increased. This is exactly why you don’t let a bunch of Ivy League nutsacks have control over well anything. Bunch of Nepo babies and nutsacks control way too much these days.

The NFL isn't taking a massive PR hit to run 4 15 second ads. Sure it'll start that way but it will obviously get worse and worse
They need to just say get used to commercial you peasants. We’ll get over it.

This is just ensuring folks get even angrier when the feel lied to by this.

While ads are playing, viewers will hear the audio of the ads, but the other box will show NFL RedZone.

Same with the NFL. 1 and 4 kickoffs and games were all done in 3 hours for the most part, except the Heidi game for example.

Change the rules, running clock, etc. What really changed were the number and length of commercials. Period. If the same rules from the 60-80 time frame, football games would be 5 hours long today.

why does corporatocracy have to ruin everything nice in this world

It's the natural progression of capitalism. Companies are in the business of making money, not entertaining people. The largest of these corporations spend millions researching what is the bare minimum they have to offer a majority of their customers and still maintain profit levels.

If their calculations say that the income from ads is greater than the loss from cancelations, then frick you, you're getting ads.
