To what, you comparing pointing a gun at someone to carrying a little league baseball bat around at a sporting event? You're a dumbass.

It's really not that far off, but yea, I'm the dumbass.

No, it really is that far off. A random quote that you didn't even link or cite doesn't change that.

swinging a baseball bat

So are we changing the narrative about the bat again? LSU fans trying hard today.

Does the law change it? Because those are examples of criminal assault according to the law.

No, which is why I said it wasn't far off, not exactly the same as.

The crime of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon requires that the offender have used a deadly weapon in the commission of the crime. An object is a deadly weapon if it likely can cause death or great bodily harm. A gun and a large knife are, by definition, deadly weapons because they are inherently dangerous and even designed to cause injury.

Other objects, such as rocks, bricks, or even a boot can constitute a deadly weapon if the object is used in a manner likely to cause or threaten serious bodily injury or death. A person wearing a heavy, steel toed boot, for instance, could cause serious injury or even death by kicking another person with them.Threatening to beat someone up with brass knuckles or to “break your legs” while wielding a metal bar also constitutes assault with a deadly weapon, because the threat and menacing behavior occur while the offender wields a weapon that likely could cause death or severe injury

Similarities in the eyes of the law are different than what you think is similar in the real world. You'll do well to remember that.

I would have like to have seen OBJ take the bat away from the guy and beat his arse with it on the 50yl.

I really can't see how this effected him. He should've laughed in the scrubs face.

Wouldn't have happened. The Panther practice squad player was all the way over to about the 35 yard line on the Giants side of the field. What is he doing over there? Why is he not on his side of the field? Why is Ron Rivera such a TPOS coach to allow this sort of behavior from his team?

Considering all the bad press the NFL endured last season & this offseason. You would think they would have something against players bringing bats on to the field.

He's not just bringing a bat on the field. He's walking over to the opposing teams sideline/players and taunting them with it. Who in their right fricking mind thinks that is a good idea? Was there no Carolina coach nearby to say "hey fricktard carry your stupid arse back over to our sideline and put that fricking bat down"?

The excuses for OBJ are hilarious. It's okay to admit the OJB allowed his opponent to get in his head and reacted foolishly.

The lack of accountability for Norman's pregame actions are equally as hilarious.

Right, and what you provided is not what happened.

Well, no. But keep living like it's eight years ago and LSU is still relevant. Enjoy that mNC.

pregame, its more about a couple of them which makes the bigger picture even worse. the lack of understanding of odell's situation is pretty sad. Also, he hardly did many things outside the realm of football play. There was one questionable play that I think wasn't intended to happen that way. Other than that, it was a good ole go at it type game at every snap.
