think the point being made is that the cap is going up in general because fans are paying more.

More accurately it’s mainly going up because the TV networks/streamers are paying more to broadcast the product since every other live TV audience has completely tanked and nearly every TV deal has recently been renegotiated and leveraged against a much more competitive market than the league has every had in terms of broadcast options.

My point is it is not a cause and effect tied to the players cut of the pie. The pie is getting bigger but the cut is still the same. There’s people who think the QB getting paid a ton of money is why the ticket cost goes up, when in actuality the QB salary is a downstream effect, not a cause.

Haven't watched this garbage since 2020 and I'm their main customer. Looks like they got a bunch of teenage swifties

Good for the players. They are the one that make the league possible, they should be well compensated.

It's also unequivocally professional sports and we don't pretend otherwise and there are contract rules and what not.

So ya, the NFL has been making more money than ever so it's only right the players do too.
