The played occurred midway through the third quarter in a tie game
Saying it cost Texas the game is a stretch

If we are being honest, they probably netted 1 point from the whole thing. We punted to them giving them great field position, and they got a feild goal. If they got the safety, they wouldn't have had near as good of field position on the ensuing kick, and probably would've punted back to us.

It’s a judgment call, regardless of the defender touching the ball

He doesn’t have to be throwing it to anyone
He was outside the box
If you’re arguing that the ball wouldn’t have crossed the LOS, you might be onto something, but I’d find it hard to definitely say that it wouldn’t have, had it not hit the Texas players helmet

His ankle was down before his elbow was down and before he intentionally grounded.

So it was roughing the passer
Interesting take

Still going there?
Watch the vid you posted and tell me again he wasn’t outside the tackle box

Does that picture look like roughing the passer?

Looks to me like a defender making a clean tackle on the QB who sill has the ball in his possession

Doesn’t matter, he was down

That's not how that works, and I'm sure you know that.

That picture looks like shite
But if he was down there, then the follow up is what would have been roughing the passer
It’s basically what the initial call was
The they looked at it again, decided he wasn’t down, and said, “we were jk about the roughing the passer”

Down there, and roughing on the follow up
THey decided he wasn’t down while rolling over the Texas player, and ditched the roughing

Strangely UF seems to be the only SEC school who doesn't get shafted when we play Bama.
