I could see colleges calling McHaffey. Great recruiter.

weiner seems like a better fit for the Dunham culture than Mistretta was

He was probably my favorite coach in HS. Good to see coaches like he and brew succeeding

Not sure and I'm ready for the old man to move on. That said I have no confidence in NW to run a better more successful program than his dad. Time for some non-Weiner blood to lead that team.

From what I understand the problem at dunham was dunham. Mistretta got tired of parent politics & school restrictions, limited practice time, no practice space, parents trying to dictate who played.
On the Neil Weiner front, I think the community was a little iffy on him & he felt some heat, don't think he was in danger but moved on. I know dunham payed very well.
I think everyone & their mother will apply at Zachary, great money & facilities, some guys I think would be considered / apply
Mistretta-has the redempt connection w/ joey Sanchez
Sid Edwards-same connection but doubt he leaves
Guy Blanchard from port Allen
Robb odom from west fel
David simoneaux-OC at central
Ken hilton-DC at central
Anthony camp-DC at catholic
Someone threw mahaffeys name out, he was a hot name when Weiner got it but can't see him leaving uhigh, even when dale retires, he has gotten in the cross hairs with dale & the AD over his recruiting.

You would be hard pressed to find a more dedicated coach than Simoneaux. Loves football more than i could possibly fathom would be awesome to see him get a shot at a head coaching gig

NW is a good person and I think most everyone here liked him. In Zachary, if you make the playoffs and win a playoff game or two every other year, your job is safe for the most part. We don't have lofty expectations out of the football program for whatever reason. I've heard a few names. Rob Odom (WFHS), OC @ Central, Bob Howell (former coach) and a few others.

Simoneaux would be a home run hire.

SIMONEAUX won't be on market forever. Best candidate of anyone mentioned in this post.

From what a few friends of mine that played for him at Zachary tell me, that would be a terrible choice. I don't see it happening.

I really could see the old redempt connections kick off and Mistretta ends up at Zachary.

Wouldnt Neil be taking a good pay cut by going to Dunham? Note the fact I know what type of money Zachary has, but don't really know the type of money that Dunham has.

Dunham has deep pockets. That's the only reason I can see NW leaving ZHS.

The entire administration is different from the ZHS AD, Principal and ZCSB Superintendent. I don't see it either fwiw. Its just people talking at this point anyway.

Agreed.

Im curious if as a head coach he would stay with the oregon type offense hes playing now at central the past two-three years or go back to his Parkview triple option roots. At Zachary it would definitely be the former since thats what theyve been running with Weiner anyway.
