That’s because the deceit in Chapel Hill points to more systemic weaknesses than the failure in University Park to stop one monster coach who preyed on little boys.

The Penn State scandal was a criminal matter and the NCAA had no jurisdiction but they chose to hammer the school.

The North Carolina scandal affected both the football and basketball programs but the NCAA claims they don't have jurisdiction.

Double standard?

No, it has nothing to do with a double-standard ... it's simple unadulterated hypocrisy at its worst. The root of all evil. The scourge of mankind.

It's why the NCAA, as a governing body, should be abolished, done-away-with, stricken from the historic records.

Never has there been such an autocratic governing body over such a wealthy and influential entity in the history of the United States of America. The NCAA has ruled in such an unjust, unbalanced fashion, that I continue to be amazed that it has lasted as long as it has ... because I basically remember the power-shift in the 70s and the NCAA's coup on college athletics as we know it today ... and I remember saying to myself then, and hearing others say it, that it would never last, that the people and the fans would never stand for it.

What we all failed to take into account back then was the socialistic nature of the University Presidents and their willingness to subject their Athletic Departments to the will of a governing body which governs far more along the lines of the old Soviet (USSR) Olympic committee than what we would and should expect in a free and democratic society here in the US. It's a true travesity - mendacity and hypocrisy at its absolute worst.

After looking at that shite, the NCAA better not pay those frickers or give them money. How in the hell can you make grades like that. I know he's busy with practice and all but damn. And on top of that making bad grades in classes about his own race. Wow.

2 - Which, I keep trying to explain to fellow fans, is why NC St would be the perfect addition to the SEC, NOT UNC. And NC State fans want to be a part of the SEC.

In the East we have some great road trips. Athens, Lexington, Nashville, Missouri, Gainesville, even Knoxville.

Who in their right mind wants to go to Raleigh? It is a dump.
