This year marks the 78th edition of the NBA on Christmas Day and the 18th year in a row playing five games.
The NBA began playing games on Christmas Day in 1947 in its second season.
All on network ABC TV plus ESPN

I was a huge nba fan as a kid, love holiday sports, but I have never sat and watched an NBA game on Xmas. I don’t ever remember the Bulls playing Xmas day—not that they didn’t, I just didn’t care. And I watched damn near all their games as they were on WGN in Iowa if not nationally televised.

Just checking in to let you know I was the 6th downvote. Enjoy and Merry Christmas

That anyone cares about votes lol. Do you get bonuses for it? I think it’s funny how weak minded some are thinking anyone cares about them. Society has failed with this being like a participation award to some lol. I even downvote my own posts.

NFL is paying the piper today with 3rd string QBs starting every game. They should’ve left Christmas Day to the NBA

Exactly. Spread the games out over the day after Christmas through Sunday and cash in on the void. Very simple.

Yup. Plus they are all on streaming and many are not going that path.

It’s on Netflix which is by far the biggest streaming platform in the world and has over 90 million subscribers in North America.
One Christmas Day football game last year beat the viewership number for all of the nba games combined and it wasn’t even close.

Anyone watching Dunk the Halls?

The Knicks aren't even any good, they only win games because they have the biggest foul merchant in the league and Silver tips the scales to aid the Knicks

Quite the turnaround. NYK down 38-23 after 1 now up 50-47

Yea the NFL games look like a bust especially with how lame KC looked last week.

I am far more interested in watching Wemby vs that team full of domestic terrorists than I am in any NFL game this year

Only 1 of the 6 teams is playoff bound. Pretty bad slate

Still better than any nba game.

Wemby is good. OKC coach said they haven’t dine anything different for him except learning for future games. Wemby has been limited and his time has been non typical. Like not starting him and he’s going against second team a lot. It will change as he gets healthy
