First losing season on the road for SA since 1997. Ends longest streak in league history.

Nah man I couldn't break away, and my buddy up there ended up having to do some military training this weekend anyways. Taking a rain check until next season hopefully. Will definitely get in touch with ya

Congrats on the W tonight.

Weird game. Strange/cool watching Collison play important minutes out of nowhere.

Weird game.

Manu played 19 minutes and didn't take a single shot.

Something's truly fricky with this team right now, and it ain't just "oh Kawhi's injured." Some of the weirdest performances/efforts I've ever seen from a Pop-coached team.

Pop is overrated bro. Lost this team, he needs to retire and go run Cuba or Russia

Your hope is peeking out there a little

This team is definitely for the birds this year though. Barring the unforseen.

Will be interesting to see if Pop retires once Kawhi bolts. They can say what they want but the writing is on the wall

Kawhi ain't going anywhere, but we're already on borrowed time with Pop. His quote for years was that he'd retire along with Timmy

I'm thinking we're within a couple years of him handing the reins to Messina or Udoka or maybe even Hammon. On the other side of him coaching Team USA. He really wants to win a gold medal.

Don’t let his time at the academy fool you. MF is in Putin’s back pocket

Nah I mean he's the reason our championship banners say "NBA Champions" instead of "World Champions." He considers winning in international play a cut above winning Larry.

I disagree with him, of course (like I disagree with a lot of his non-basketball shite, I guess ), but based on what he's said over the years, I think that's the main thing keeping him in coaching at this point.

Haha, I’m obviously just fricking around but gd his politics are frustrating. He’s likely the best over the last 25 years given he never had as much to work with as Phil and is a better developer/talent evaluator

Yeah as a coach, I think he's the GOAT given where he's plied his trade. That matters a lot in a star driven sport like basketball.

And honestly it's been pretty common knowledge for awhile here locally that his politics are anti-right. Just picked a bad junctire to get super vocal about it because people (myself included) cant help but make the connection between him waxing more vocal about politics and the Spurs struggling like never before. Maybe fair, maybe not, but that's where we are now.

Season ticket renewals started dropping like a rock the minute he jumped into that arena. Couple that with this type of year on the court and, well....

.....let's just say that he's chewed through a lot of the hard-earned professional capital he had with this town. Winning will remedy that (always does), but he's got his work cut out for him.

Certainly a slippery slope. I’d think a bigger Hispanic population would help him? Although, the Texas Hispanic tends to be more conservative (and smarter ;)) than the rest of their Southwest counterparts.

You'd think. But it's Texas Hispanics vs. big city (aka lefty breeding ground) dynamics.

It'd be fascinating to watch if it weren't fricking over my beloved espurz

But a wise man (ok not that wise once said), "...while you're in it, try and get as much shite as you can; and when your run is over just admit that it's at it's end." Back to the drawing board for the first time in eons for SA.

Politics aside... everyone said the same shite around 2011 when it looked like Duncan was done. Then you effers rebuilt and almost won 2 titles.

Pop is effing old now though and the gays will keep cheating to win (GSW).
