The difference in 2nd and revolutionary enough to carry an organization and 5th is mighty wide.

Not really, there could have simply been a couple of teams already with a PG. Boston likely passes on him, but that's not a knock on Lonzo, they have their PG.

The kid is going to save the Lakers, has transcendent talent, and is the face of a franchise.

He couldn't play 2 guard for the Celtics?

Lonzo getting 39 minutes is insane! Especially considering his production, or lack there of. He should be coming off the bench. There will be a 30 for 30 someday on this kid and how his dad pulled off the biggest marketing scam ever.

What's even more remarkable is that the Lakers are currently 5-6 and have been competitive in basically every game this season thus far without a ton of ZO production

Irrelevant to the fact that the Celtics have a primary ball handler which minimizes what Ball does best.

Since your hypo gets to take LAL out of the question, let's also assume some other shitty team not named Boston is at #3.

I have zero doubts that Lonzo is taken no later than #3, so there's that.

Gross.

After looking at the draft, it seems pretty damn week. Did Ingram keep the Lakers from taking Tatum?
