There was a five minute stretch in the early fourth when Harden was on the bench that was putrid on both sides. Just terrible basketball by both teams
Yeah. That looked like rec league stuff.

The nba has turned into
1. Team one dribble up
2. Shoots three
3. Team two dribble up
4. Shoots three
5. Rinse. Repeat
Hou/Utah before that gobert dunk was literally 7 straight three attempts between them
The 80's were fast break, 1 pass, pull up jump shot. Fast break, 1 pass, pull up jump shot. Fast break, 1 pass to the big man, jump shot. Back the other way, make a couple passes, jump shot. Over and over.
The 90's were walk the ball up, pass to the best player, clear out and let him go 1 on 1. Then walk the ball up the other way, pass to your best player (sometimes a big man), and let him go 1 on 1. Over and over.
Today, it's pick and roll, fast breaks, 3's and lay-ups.
That is obviously simplified, but each era is defined by a particular style of play, all of which is repetitive. To argue otherwise is just nostalgia.
Here is a random game from the 80's. 1985 NBA Finals game 6. Tell me I'm lying with my description from above of 80's basketball. You only need to watch a few minutes to get the idea:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P84-B8sVpc Game starts at 7:10 or so.
