Nascar question

I don't watch Nascar and I don't bash it. My brother likes it. But I do watch interviews on TV sport shows. Why do Nascar drivers have such high pitched voices? Any of ya'll ever noticed that?

Five point racing harness (seatbelt) comes over both shoulders, across the lap and up between the legs. A few heavy impacts and your voice changes.

Ah, so that explains it. Thanks.
