Houston Oilers vs Boston Patriots in Tad Gormley/City Park Stadium in New Orleans. They technically exist but they’ve come a long way from their AFL days. George Blanda threw a TD pass to Charlie Hennigan using the old goal line goal posts to pick the defensive backs putting it where only Hennigan could get it, high, between the uprights, and under the cross bar. My Dad and I were sitting first row in that end zone.
I met Charlie some years after he retired and we became coffee drinking buddies. I asked him once about that catch telling him I had seen it as a kid with my Dad. He remembered it well and said it was a Blanda draw it in the dirt play using the uprights to brush off the DBs. I think that may have been the year he set the record for catches at 101 (?). A good old boy from Bienville, Louisiana.
I think he held the record for about 20 years until Art Monk maybe took if from him.

Won some free tix when I was a kid and my folks took me to watch the championship game of whatever arena football league they were in.
Pretty sure it was in the PMAC, and Michael Lewis (the beer man) played for them.

Kid I went to school with, his dad played on the Boston Patriots. JR Williamson, played college ball at Tech.
