maybe so, I guess I am just thinking recently. I cant remember when they had a tough schedule.

2007 their schedule started: GT, PSU, Mich, Mich St, Purdue, UCLA BC, USC, Navy.

All those teams went to bowls, only UCLA had a losing record.

I agree that most of the out of conference schedules are ridiculous. I am one that would like to see more big time OOC games and it seems that some of the SEC times are trying to do that.
