This is true. It definitely needs to be shorter. Matt's problem is he thinks hes way smarter than he actually is and takes himself way too seriously.
It prevents him from listening when often times a better opinion is presented.
Also, I try to only listen when Mike D is on. I love his segment. Hell, I wish they'd just give him the show.

Lee is a eccentric guy, I think he relishes talking about subjects no one is interested in like water polo, volleyball his dogs and the like.
And the segments are basically Matt poking fun at him for that and Lee seemingly loving the fact that no one is interested in those subjects and to me seemingly taking pride in that fact.
It's like a friend of mine for example who I've met up with at a couple of SEC Championship games and after the game all he wants to talk about is the DR. Pepper challenge at halftime.
