I didn't watch the 500 thanks to having to do family stuff with the gf's family. So I'm wondering what the hell is up with all this stage stuff, I looked at it on google and got the basic premise, but this seems like a bad idea to me. Let's pause a race in the middle of action to slow everyone down to restart the race again.... This idea is stupid. Also I heard DW mention in the pre race a 5 minute damage fix time. What is that all about??
Impressed the whining about rules changes held this long. Stages actually make the mid race more exciting and force strategy.

Harvick is going to lap everyone

If it wasn't for stages this race may have gone green the whole way.

He's so dominant right now that I'd be worried he's too good

It is a beautiful day.

I like the 5 minute clock and it's only for cars with crash damage.
If you can't fix the car in five minutes you are no longer competitive. Having cars go out that have shite falling off of them does no service to anyone. It only brings out debris cautions giving the damaged car more time to repair.

Meh, though Harvick is making everyone look meh with the exception of Chase Elliott who just got busted for a speeding penalty.

Bowyer loses tire. Sucks to see but glad to see him competitive again.
