For anyone familiar with Luke Thomas....

How hilarious would it be to seem him interact with TigerDroppings haha.

A lot of people rip on Luke, but I don't mind watching him. He's pretty hardcore left, but I don't recall seeing him treat Colby Covington worse just because of Colby's Trump schtick or anything like that. I think he does a decent job keeping fight talk just fight talk - certainly better than most out there. And he's pretty knowledgeable. I've learned a lot about MMA from just listening and paying attention to Luke, to Rogan, DC, Faras and so many others.

Fighting another current champ is a much bigger draw than Aspinall

You clearly have no clue what you’re talking about, Aspinall is a champ too

Only because jones got injured and they needed a title fight for the card.

There's no way Jon and Dana can put off an Aspinall title fight any longer at heavyweight without risking looking like some of boxing's most conspicuously corrupt promotions throughout history. I do think that Jon doesn't want that fight.

What I think most likely happens after the Stipe fight is that either Jon retires or moves down to LHW for a superfight against Pereira, whom Jon matches up better against and where the mega money is. I also think Pereira would want that fight badly for the same reasons and because there is no one interesting currently left for him to fight.

He’s the best ever. Aspinall OR Pereira would have very little chance against him. Especially if he is motivated due to people doubting him.

Bookmark this. If Aspinall vs Jones were to happen, I would drop 5k on Aspinall and post the ticket.

Lots of people have lost money predicting who would be the next to beat jones. I like aspinall, but Jon always seems to find a way to win. I think poatan is the bigger money fight and if jon wants that and he is gonna do a quick turnaround the ufc should do it. There aren’t many mega fights that will sell but that one could be a top 5 ppv type fight. Not sure if that happens with aspinall. With the new tv deal negotiations looming a big fight like that could anchor the deal.

I don't even put him in the conversation. I don't think there's ever been a time when he wasn't on drugs.

Jones has never been an underdog odds wise. He’s has been a big favorite against his opponents in his career. Jones vs Aspinall is close to an 50/50 fight. Actually Aspinall would be a -150 favorite.

I think Jones is making a long term miscalculation by avoiding Aspinall. Because when he hangs it up and Aspinall reigns over the HW division, the narrative of Jones ducking will come up every time Aspinall is defending his title. The MMA community is already turning on him and calling him out on it.

It's interesting how Jones has been pretty entitled throughout all of this, considering how he's been such a pain in the arse for the UFC with all the issues he's had.
He just came out and called Luke Thomas a 'nerd with no legacy', after Luke called him out for ducking.

I don’t know what his financial/contract situation is, but it seems he’s more likely to retire or go fight Ngannou in the PFL after this.

The guy didn’t fight for 3 years due to contract negotiations & then ultimately moving up to Heavyweight. Doesn’t seem like the type who would like the UFC telling him what to do
