Soriano seems like he maybe the first piece to leave the Cubs. He is getting interest from the Bucs, Indians, and Rays.

Where'd this come from?

To all the Cubtards that think they are going to get Olt in a deal for Garza...that's not going to happen. Believe me. They'd probably only trade Olt for Josh Johnson and even that's a stretch.

Vitters has the talent to be an everyday player. IMHO

Who's your comp for Vitters?

He's obviously talented. I just think he'll never hit well enough at the big league level.

Span plays great defense and is a prototypical leadoff man who hits for a good average and gets on base. Much better player than Ludwick.

So I guess Cozart isn't working out as the leadoff man?

I agree Ludwick is pretty bleh. Just not that familiar with Span.

He's hitting .285 with a .348 OBP

He's also a great defender with great speed

I like Ben Revere in the Twins OF too

now Shane Victorino in that OF would be solid

Phillies offered the Reds Victorino in exchange for Ondrusek, and they turned it down.

because he's a FA and the Reds won't be able to/don't want to sign him to a deal?

Maybe it would be difficult for the Reds to replace Ondrusek.

I don't think the Reds want to frick with their bullpen. They like the way that it's set up right now.

It's not not a joke. He's had a good year and looks to be one of the more reliable pitchers in their bullpen.

Interesting. I think they screwed up. They need a leadoff hitter more than they need a #3/4 bullpen arm, IMO. Victorino is a stud. Even for a rental I think he's worth Ondrusek.

Angels about to make a splash I have a feeling. No way they let Santana start next week vs. Texas again.

Ondrusek is under control for cheap for 4 more years..believe Victorino will cost about $3M rest of year.

I'm guessing that was the reason

That, and Reds dont need another .250 speedy hitter.

According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Angels, Rangers and Dodgers are all in on James Shields.

No in the sense that Mike Trout was, but that is not shitty for a 22 year old in his first year in AAA.

Yeah, I think a deal for Shields and Ben Zobrist could happen while the Rays are in Anaheim this weekend.
