Frazier's value will never be higher and he could command a big return. He is only under contract through next year when the Reds won't be any good anyway. I would shop him.

#BlueJays haven't given up on Carlos Carrasco. Source says they're among a "slew of teams" talking to #Indians about him. #Dodgers #Cubs

He's the only leader the Reds have in that clubhouse. He stays.

They definitely should be trading Frazier. Value as high as it will go, a full year older than Bruce, and 2 years of control this offseason. Should get a ton for him and the Reds won't be competitive for the next 2 years.

And the earliest Frazier can be a free agent is 2018.

The Yankees are one of five teams that are “aggressively pursuing” a trade for Reds closer Aroldis Chapman, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today (on Twitter).

They have him 2 more years but I agree. Would rather have the return than the Reds getting an extra 5 wins the next 2 years. 74 wins compared to 69 really doesn't mean much.

Teams don't trade cheap players no matter how shitty they are. There is no point, because the point of trading is to get cheap talent back.

Good. I hope the Reds get a huge return for him.

yeah, I see that he is controlled through '17, not '16 now. My bad. I would still definitely listen to offers. Not saying you have to trade him, but if you can get a good package.

Brewers traded Gomez. I think the idea would be to get cheap talent with more years of control back.

Not really. The point for the Reds would be to get younger guys who are controlled for a long time. You get good prospects and you have them 6 years in majors at age 22-25 as opposed to 2 years (when the Reds will stink) at age 30 and 31. Then Frazier won't be cheap.

The city would explode if the Reds moved Frazier right now. I think that's why Castellini came out and said that Frazier will absolutely not be moved.

What an awesome deadline week. I have a feeling the next 6 hours are going to be insane.

The only thing that could make this day better is if someone fleeces the Braves for Teheran.

Bravetard thread would pass this one up in 30 minutes.

I kinda feel like its gonna be a letdown. Lots of teams already blew their load.
