No joke, Winn is ready. Get DeJong out and call him up for rest of season so he has experience for next season.

.359/.427 8HR 26 RBI 9BB 15K 8 doubles 2 triples for Winn in July.

Corbin Carroll reached 25 HR and 35 SB in his first 134 career games, the 2nd-fewest needed by any player to debut since 1900.

Mike Trout needed 128 games.

Nick Pivetta had 43 strikeouts in July and started 1 game.

That's the most strikeouts by a player with 0 or 1 starts in a month since Dick Radatz had 45 in May of 1964. h/t @EliasSports

Cardinals have been active in trade conversations last night and this morning. They're willing to move multiple bats.

Most frequent names mentioned: Paul DeJong, Alec Burleson and Dylan Carlson.

Trade status of Tommy Edman, on the IL with right wrist inflammation, is unclear.

Sources tell @AzoulayHaron and I that to this point, no team has been more engaged on Justin Verlander than the Houston Astros. They have let the Mets know their interest is very serious. Dodgers, Orioles, Padres, and at least 1 other monitoring price.
