It is the 6 yr itch for the Marlins , so you never know. DUe to the economy look for alot of high priced free agents available around the trading deadline and I could see this impacting the season outcome greatly. Look for teams like the Yankees, Red SOx, Cubs, Mets, LAA, and LA Dodgers to make big splashes.

Sorry, but KC winning the Central is much more likely to happen than the Marlins winning the World Series.

I'm sure people thought that in 1997 and in 2003 too.

You need to change your name. I always read it as "derekinme". And then knowing you're a Yankees fan gives me visuals that make me shudder.

fig.

Roy Halladay will most likely be dealt, but the Royals? I think KC is about a year away.

Anybody know Halladay's contract status?

Toronto will be a big seller at the deadline.

I'm not a Yankees hater, HH. They were always my 2nd favorite team growing up. But they're old and their staff has a tendency to get hurt. I think they'll be finishing 3rd in the East.

Staying with the theme, over/under on how many pearl necklaces A-Rod gets from Jeter?

Does CC really have a tendency to get hurt, Wang was hurt last year but I wouldn't call that a trend. Pettitte is old but usually healthy. Burnett is the only one who is truly injury prone.

I don't remember CC having any injury issues, but after the Brewers nearly ran him into the ground last year with all those innings, I'd be concerned.
