Nick Saban sure is right about one thing. Talking heads spit out nothing but rat poison.

I bitched....still am. I'm not disputing that Chase is a good receiver, nor that he helps the team. With that said, great teams are built on the line of scrimmage. The Oline had been a dumpster fire coming into the season. We signed Reilly Rieff to a one year deal. Spain has a one year deal. Williams has been garbage up to this year. At draft a franchise" left tackle was available and should have been taken over Chase. Period. They patched the line together for this year with mixed results so far. Time will tell....

Exactly. Receivers are a dime a dozen. If your QB is worth a damn you can pick those exclusively on day three and they’ll do the job.
When you are drafting in the top 5 your top 3 priorities should be:
QB
OL
CB
The Bengals already had their QB and no one had Horn or Surtain down as top 5 guys. Sewell or Slater would have been the smart pick. The Bengals had a slightly better skill position players than the Chargers had last season. Both had bad lines. So what did the Chargers do? They went out and signed a top 3 center and drafted the second best lineman in this year’s class.
The Bengals signed two washed out linemen and drafted an unnecessary receiver.

Year 2 or 3. He’ll quit either way. Once a quitter…

I was at the game yesterday in Cincinnati. All the fans I talked to are more worried about getting rid of Zac as their head coach.

I don’t really follow the Bengals tv show.
