Pro baseball includes minors, so in NYC metro he has other options outside of Yanks and Mets. It’s also not super far to Philly or Boston. He could be going to Brooklyn Cyclones games, Long Island, Staten Island, Newark, Trenton, New Haven, Lehigh Valley, Reading, and several others through the years.

I can see how you find a sense of community, and baseball has a way of cleansing the soul. But damn…how do you do that and hold down a job? I’ve been to about 600 pro games…10,000 is unimaginable.
