I agree with your logic. I really do.. but it's just a prediction.. and teams (sometimes dumb) can get caught up and/or desperate.. I think it's possible. But I totally agree with you.

I cannot see Miami going QB.. Not unless they trade up.. they will not go Locker.

I don't really see Locker as that much different to their current QBs, some potential but some big questions, maybe he's a bit faster. If anything they should look to bring in a vet IMO.

So the consensus of this thread is that the 5 seed Saints host the 6 seed Packers in the dome....and LOSE?

I love Ingram for the Phins, but doesn't seem like a Jeff Ireland (Parcells protege) pick. Henne has got to be on the way out, I don't see them adding a vet QB like McNabb so I'm very intrigued by the possibility of drafting Gabbert.

I've been following Cam Newton and Nick Failey's draft stock for a while and here's the what I've gathered from reading posts and articles written by fans and scouts:

I don't pretend to know what teams will do on draft day, but almost all credible mocks have Fairley going ahead of Dareus in the Draft, most likely somewhere from #2-4. If a team has a strict need for a 3-4 two-gap DE, Dareus could go ahead of Fairley, but looking at the draft order, most people don't see it happening. Dareus will likely to be a solid player in the NFL, but Fairley is seen as a game-changer and has more versatility in different systems. Dareus is a top 10 pick while Fairley is (at the moment) a consensus top 5 pick along with Bowers.

As for Cam, he's the biggest question mark at this point. He will likely do well at the combine and some team like SF will be enamored enough with his athletic ability to draft him early, but there's also the possibility he falls in the draft. Who knows? I like him better than Mallett, but I'm slightly biased.

I'd put good money down that Peterson goes 2 overall, IF and ONLY IF... Luck comes out. Then he'll probably go #1.

Yea Denver needs another scrub SEC lineman in the first round.

i.e. Jarvis Moss and Rob Ayers

Dallas Needs to move up to get Fairley or Peterson or just move down and get some more picks. They need to get a difference maker on one of the lines or in the secondary or just stockpile picks.
