I'm not sure what kind of price range you're looking for but I've made the walk from the Westin and Hilton area and it's not a bad walk at all. I know they have the W close as well. I can't really help with hotel prices though because I've never stayed in a hotel in the city.

Hey 3ht, do you know if the Washington kd, DB for Lutcher is related to Lionel?

I'm pretty sure he isn't. Maybe distant, but definitely not a close relative.

I wish Notre Dame had their QB in the 3A Finals last year so it would have been a fair game.

Someone mentioned a Hotard to Neville game? I wanna go, dude.

We'll be playing Neville at home most likely. The Hotard buses will be for the quarterfinal game against either Haughton or Huntington, both near S'port. From what I've heard, there are many buses of fans heading up there. Just ask around town.

Lutcher is the best team in the state - unless some crazy stuff happens (injuries , etc.) Luther - Franklinton should be a great AAAA Champ. game IMHO

A little off topic, but I've never been to the championships in the Dome and I am going this year. Any decent priced hotels near by??? Any areas I should avoid, etc.??

We stay at The Ambassador every year. My dad always stays at the Holiday Inn with the instrument on the side.

This would be a GREAT year for a playoff between the 5 classification winners and 1 bye team. My 6 teams would be:

1. West Monroe- 5A
2. Lutcher - 4A
3. Parkview Baptist - 3A
4. John Curtis -2A
5. West St. John - 1A
Bye team would be Franklinton.

This would make a GREAT 6 team playoff. What are your thoughts?

a) Why does Franklinton get the bye?

b) Replace WSJ with South Plaquemines

What other team besides Franklinton would you place in this mix? Hahnville, Rummel, Evangel? I just think that Franklinton and Lutcher are the 2 BEST teams in the state. So I would give that bye to Franklinton.

Well by your post, you say Lutcher wins 4A. Why would a team that doesn't even win its class get the bye. One of the five state champions should get the bye, IMO.

arent u really in Los Angeles? have u even seen these teams play?

Rummel, FWIW, 8 teams out of their 10 wins made the playoffs in 5A during the regular season.

I wonder if the Lutcher coaches have been reading this thread.

Some teams make the playoffs with a 4-6 or even a 3-7 record. Some teams miss the playoffs with a 5-5 or a 6-4 record.
