Honestly that 2006 OSU/UM game may have been one of the best college football games I ever saw.
now this i cant agree with

Michigan was never going to stop OSU, had the game gone on longer, OSU would have only scored more and Michigan would be in a constant game of catch-up ..OSU clearly looked liked they outclassed Michigan and michigan was just surviving on pure will

good game, but I can think of several high profile games this decade that were better

Anybody now what the betting was like on OSU/Mich in 06?

Guy on the radio in Vegas said that 11 days out LSU/BAMA has already surpassed last year's title game in number of bets placed

THESE TEAMS are THAT MUCH BETTER THAN UM or OSU in 2006.

It's hard to talk logically sometimes with you Peej.

I mean that Michigan team was absolutely loaded with guys who are starting in the NFL, Branch, Woodley, Henne, Long, Manningham, Leon hall, Breaston, Crable, Harris

OSU had Smith, Ginn, Gonzo, Freeman, Laurinatis, Antonio Smith, Malcolm Jenkins, Quinn Pitcock, Gholston, Alex Boone, Hartline, Robiskie, Pittman, and Beanie Wells

I love Bama/LSU, but it isn't like there wasn't top shelf NFL talent on the field in 06 too

Well seeing that the last five champions have come from the sec and knowing ohio state got raped with a rusty rake by florida...gotta go with the real football game.

What makes you say that? It will depend on what the line is and who wins.

The juice buddy. There is so much action on this game and bets are coming in very early, giving them a lot of time to adjust the line to assure they get a close split.

You're not foolish enough to think they get equal money on both sides now are you?

This is a big cfb game, but its still a regular season game, they will most like get a bigger handle on NFL playoff games and BcS bowl games unless you can show me links other wise.

The game is attracting an unusual amount of action especially since it’s still two weeks away. In fact, early in the week, Fuhrman said, the Tigers-Tide showdown was generating more betting interest than almost all of this week’s games.

I havent searched the internet yet, but like i mentioned before, they sportsbook gentleman on the radio they had from Vegas said that Vegas has already seen more bets on this game than the BCS NC game last year and we are still 11 days out

It's getting a ton of action, and the game isn't even this week. It's pretty unprecedented for a regular season college football game.

True...the score was close but the once OSU took the 2 TD lead in the second quarter it never felt like Michigan could win...constant catch up.

What did Michigan do in their bowl game that year? Lose to USC in the Rose Bowl?

Exactly; the two most bitter historical rivals.

LSU is playing Bama...

It's not Bama vs. Auburn (which might add some rival luster.) It's LSU/Bama - since when are they historic adversaries on the level of Michigan/Ohio State?

Will this be a better game? Maybe? Better teams? Probably. More anticipation? Nah!
