Coach Dutton Wall, long time football coach at Port Arthur, Welsh, and Sacred Heart of Ville Platte and 2014 Louisiana High Scool Sports Hall of Fame inductee passed away today. He is top 10 in wins in the history of La HS football with more than 270 and also coached multiple state champions in track and field.
He was a great man and father, not only to his biological children but also to the thousands of kids whose lives he touched over nearly 40 years of coaching.
So happy that he got to see his Greyhounds bring the bone home from the dome before he passed.
RIP Coach Wall, you will be missed

My grandfathers cousin. Played against them at Welch one year. Son coached at church point. Thanks for the info.

Played against him when he was coaching at Welsh. Great coach. Beat him at home after stuffing Welsh three times from the 5 and them missing a FG as time expired.

Great coach and an even better father/mentor. Reminiscing hard about the playing days playing under the lights for him. He will surely be missed RIP Coach Wall
