So the year that they had no shot at the division, and the wildcard was the only way in? As opposed to a team chasing a division title, wearing shirts to celebrate clinching a playoff berth?

I think some people completely missed the point the OP was making. Teams clinch playoff spots every year on their way to winning their division, and don't print shirts to celebrate the lesser of their goals. That just looks silly for a team to do.

I'm responding to specific people. I'm not reading this whole thread. And as I just said, there is a team who didn't wear those shirts, because they have bigger goals.

Go celebrate with your fellow Mets fans on your team's accomplishment.

Didn't read what? I read the comments that I responded to. You're telling me other people said something, and calling me illiterate, when I never even read those comments... Because they weren't the comments I was responding to. Do I need to spell it out for you? Nah, You've already stopped reading, because you have the attention span of a gnat.

Let me explain it to you, then: When someone reads a comment, they are not obligated to read all the rest. They are free to respond to that comment. It happens in every single thread. No thread is nearly interesting enough to read through every post. You skim through it, and maybe you see something that catches your attention, and you respond.

And if you try to pretend that you read through every post of every thread, you are a liar.
