Liberty undefeated = deserving FSU undefeated = doesn’t matter

Liberty played the weakest schedule in college football. Yet being undefeated mattered.
FSU beats Florida, on the road, in a game that knocked the Gators from playoff consideration, and then beat Louisville in their conference title game…and it meant nothing.
If the committee had put in SMU over Liberty, then them putting in Alabama would have at least been consistent.
Instead, they seem hypocritical.
Just my .02.

What play-off consideration is a 5-6 (3-5 in SEC) Florida team (prior to a loss to FSU) entertaining? Biggest disappointment of the year?

What if they didn’t think Liberty was one of the top four, but they did think Bama was one of the top four? You know, the only thing that matters. Then there is no hypocrisy.

Doesn’t matter. FSU drew Georgia for a bowl game. So we get to see the massacre in a meaningless bowl game instead of the playoffs.

The playoff is composed of the P5 conferences. The last time I checked, Liberty is not in one of those conferences.
Not even close to being equivalent.

About the same as Auburn.

Wrong.
They justified Bama being a better team than FSU, despite the record.
Then, despite SMU being the more accomplished team, with better everything EXCEPT record, they chose to go with Liberty based solely on their record.
Their inconsistency is is my issue.

We both know there won’t be much motivation for this game.
Nor should there be
