Wow. When was the last time Parkview and Catholic struggled so much?

U-High stomped what was supposed to be a pretty good 3-A team 41-14, after leading 34-0 at half. And they scored 8 of their points with 7 seconds left against our JV players. We might be the real deal this year. Live Oak next week-trying to get those power ranking points for beating a 5-A team.

Central played a good second half and last 2 minutes in the first half. The coaches finally started to put the ball in the play makers hands. Up until the Central touchdown right at half #2 only touched the ball 1 time on offense and 2 times on kickoff. Both times he touched the ball on the kickoffs he had great yardage only killed by stupid penalties. In the second half they finally started going to him.

This is for wildtigercat93; Dotson is not the right coach for Central. He makes too many coaching mistakes that keeps the other team in the game. Central goes up 13-12 and because of a false start they go for two. Central fails. Kick the extra point. That way if you score again it is a 2 possession game and not 1. Next, he does not do a good job of getting the ball in his skill players. #2 should be lined up in the backfield every now and again. Some of the holes #27 had tonight there is no way Catholic would have been able to get to #2.

Late in the 4th you are up by 15 points he throws the ball on 2nd and 3rd down and both are incomplete. Central could have ran the clock another 1 minute or Catholic call their final TO. So Central had to punt to Catholic with around 2:30 left instead of 1:30. Catholic get it to the 2 and it takes a great defensive stand to keep Catholic out of making the game 7 or 8 point game with a chance to kick an onside kick.

He had several games last year that he did poor clock management and game time decisions. Dotson may be a very good defensive coordinator but he is not a good HC.

East St John is a damn good football team. No shame in Parkview's loss.

Landon Collins is not a running back. He runs more similar to Patrick Peterson. It's like he is returning punts when he carries the ball. It's a lot of cutbacks. I saw Eric Reid play many games in high school and I am telling you there is no comparison Collins is a better football player at this age. It's not even close as a defensive or offensive player.

I can't believe that Central is a power in football. They absolutely sucked when I was in high school.

When was that. Central sucked in the early 90s until Trey McClure became QB.

They look absolutely pitiful. Defense, offense, everything...

Looks like most of that coaching staff needs to be scrapped and rebuilt.

They'd never fire him, so if they were to do this, they'd have to find a place to move Dale to within the school.

I think it's best they get away from the Weiners and start a new era.

It took a Central Private boy to get their baseball program to the promise land.

Final:

Live Oak 27
Springfield 14

Sounds like we FINALLY had a "complete" game, start to finish. No deciding to start playing in the 2nd half, no quitting, no mailing it in. Especially proud of Beau.

Best senior year ever, right? :(

Don't worry, I have faith in DD. He's a hell of a coach and is more than capable of working with what little talent LO gets.

Covington- 7

SPS shows why it is the best team in the state by beating yet another top 5 team in its perspective class.

I say this over and over again i played under him as my head coach and D coordinator

He doesnt mess with the offense one bit, so the Getting the ball into the play makers hands thing isnt on him, its on the play caller

Also on the 2 point conversion, i wasnt there so idk if it was a straight 2 pt conversion or a fake kick but IF it was a fake kick i guarentee you it was a read on the defense to fake it.
Ive been on the field goal team and we ran whatever the defense gave us on extra points and had atleast 5 fakes on that unit based purely on the defensive alignment

And again the throws in the 4th werent his call

Now im not putting this all on the OC becUse i love the guy and hes a great coach thats as dedicated as youll see, i just think its a young team that has had trouble to be successful on offense because of Oline issues. Also who is getting the ball if none of the playmakers are getting the ball? Courville(9), Junea(21), Gales (5), Tripplet (2), and evans (27) are all playmakers that scored TDs tonight. Also Hardin (22) has been hurt and hes an awesome recevier that made alot of good catches for us last year. So whose not getting the ball that should?
