Gotta love the announcers that call out trick plays during the games letting the defense know what's going on. "It's a reverse!".

Trashy schools have play by play PA announcers.

Yeah, that was the early 2000's. I remember listening to that game. all you heard the announcers saying all night was "Alley Broussard on the left side, Alley Broussard on the right side, Alley Broussard up the middle." That bastard could run. Never got drafted to the pros. Back to the "home cookin' " of the 90's. I seem to remember it was Barbier's first season . The refs were so bad, the HHS coaches wives ran after the refs after the game with at least one of them (the wives) kicking a ref. The "home cooking" was blatant. The Acadiana winning score drive was penalty aided all the way down the field....disgusting.
Dude if you’re talking about 2002, Alley Broussard and Acadiana beat Laron Landry and Hahnville 41-21...and it wasnt even that close. If you are still blaming the refs 15 years later, you are down right delusional dude. That was an arse a serious arse kicking.

you do realize that since probably before you were born playoff referees to not come from the home AREA of either team in a playoff game? like if a team from NO and BR play they could have playoff refs from say.. shreveport... hardly home cooking

Good game between Ruston and Hahnville. Ruston is headed in the right direction . Congrats to The Tigers of Hahnville.
students were pretty classy going onto field and consoling the kicker...

While your probably right, your example is a lil extreme. For instance when Hahnville played Dehnam Springs the refs were from Thibadeux... same district as Hanville, and you better believe the fans from DS felt the calls were biased... and if I'm being totally honest there were some calls that appeared to be home cooking.

It's amazing the number of people that think he intentionally tried to ninja kick the defender. Lots of butt-hurt Ruston fans on Twitter

There wasn't a flag thrown on that play, so no it wasn't a personal foul

You really can't be that dumb.

Alot of this thread has been how Ruston media and fans overreacted on a player karate kicking another player. Video is produce and now it's ok because they didn't flag it?

Well I've never seen Thibodaux spelled like that .

Anyway, the Thibodaux refs aren't biased, they're just shitty refs that make some of the most ridiculous calls.

It shouldn't have been flagged because he was clearly trying to hurdle the defender and it turned into a freak play.

Now you will respond that hurdling a player is a personal foul according to the rules, but that penalty is never called. Now go on acting like Pooka is Bruce Lee, Jet Li and Jackie Chan all rolled into one

We had it called twice this year. That play was 100% a 15 yard penalty and possibly an ejection depending on the crew. He was very fortunate.

In their defense, they're shitty because they have to ref shitty football. Outside of Hahnville and Destrehan, that district is trash.

Want to find good refs in any sport, go where they have good athletics.

Hurdling a player isn't a personal foul, kicking them like the RB did in the video is.

Well I see you are really this dumb to defend that player on that particular play.

Yeah, have been aware of how the ref set up has been. Just don't trust the 'playing at Acadiana' situation. I truly believe there's funny business ($$$) with the refs that goes into the gumbo there to assure an Acadiana win. JMO.
....and btw, I'm 60 years young. Just know how corrupt Louisiana H. S. football can be.....and I was born and raised there, so.....

Don't disagree with that at all.

The more excitement for the sport in the area, the higher quantity of guys coming out and better chances at finding quality refs.

Yes it is.

Hurdling Rule 2-22; 9-4-3D

Hurdling (an attempt by a player to jump (hurdle) with one or both feet or knees foremost over an opponent who is contacting the ground with no part of his body except one or both feet) is illegal. Coaches must teach their players of the inherent dangers associated with this illegal act, and game officials must call it when observed.

Well there we go, I stand corrected.

There will be a couple come by later and tell ya, still no flag because he didn't hurdle Ruston D, he kicked the shite out of him.
