Ridiculous. The rules are even worse now anyway.

I agree that the rules are worse now but the rules apply to all players equally, for the most part, now. Back in the mid-90s there was one set of rules for the NBA and another for MJ.

The Spurs are a MUCH better team so the LeBron swallowers can swallow all they want to.

Not sure what that has to do with this discussion? Spurs are a better "team" because of coaching and fundamentals. Heat have more star power, which, as we know doesn't necessarily mean better.

YOU ARE TRIPPING. Yes Jordan got pounded by the Pistons in the late 80s but starting the year he won his first NBA championship he was untouchable. If anyone even grazed him they got a foul called on them. He would score less today, if the refs were fair, than he did in his second 3 peat and that is a fact.

I don't know what he'd average, but no doubt he'd LOVE the rules

The Heat have bigger names, and the best player, but the Spurs have a team of better players.

Is LeBron a physical beast the likes of which we've never seen? YES.

So was Wilt. Even more so actually. Wilt was further ahead of the rest of his league physically than LeBron is now. FACT.

That's not what makes you the greatest.

You can't lump all physical freaks together. Wilt and Shaq were comparable in that they were just bigger and stronger than everybody else in the league.

Lebron is a different kind of freak. He's the first player who had the quickness of a point guard with the body of Karl Malone. While also being hyper coordinated.

Not as much as he loved the rules in the 90s, unless the refs kept treating him the way they did back then.

Weird. He shot less free throws in the 90s than in the late 80s. Crazy huh?

It's been a good healthy debate, Genro, but it appears the troll has taken over. I'm out.

Dude averaged 37.1, 35.0, 32.5, 33.6 while the Pistons and defense were dominating the league.

Only dropped off later because he got Pippen on his team.

Put him on a team with no other superstar, with the rules today, no doubt in my mind whatsoever he would average 45+

No. The refs would call BS non-shootng fouls when anyone tried to put ANY real defensive pressure on him which would get them in foul trouble and send them to the bench. Then when he had second rate players on him, with the stars worrying about fouling out, he could score at will.

He is a 50% better scorer than Kobe Bryant was in his prime?

Umm Kobe only had a couple seasons in his prime with no other star on his team. During those seasons, he averaged 35.4 and 31.6.

That's not even close to 50% better

No trolling here. I am trying to inform you guys that the NBA is a business and the #1 goal of ANY business is to make money. MJ was the GOAT cash cow and they did everything they could to make sure it continued. If that is hard for you to believe than you don't know how this world works.

I wonder if you really are serious and so young and naive. You're like a kid who discovers punk rock and then tries to lecture the adults about how the Bilderberg conference rules the world.

You're embarrassing yourself.

45 points vs 31.6 is pretty damn close to 50% better unless my math is terrible. The 35 points isn't 50% better but its still 10 points less than what you think MJ could have scored and Kobe is AT LEAST as good of a scorer as MJ if you give him the same calls. Kobe scored 45 on MJ in ONE HALF, after the NBA was finished protecting MJ, so save it!

Sorry people were allowed to guard Kobe. 82 points bro...82 points. Also AGAINST MJ he had 45 in one half. Kobe could score with MJ all day long. Also, if you want to argue FG % why are you arguing MJ is better than LeBron?
