I would quit on that team too 3 of kobe's teammates don't crack the cavs rotation this year, and he still brought the suns to 7.

This is probably the most factually incorrect post of the night.

Love how people bitch about Lebron but forget Kobe's pussy antics after that fail. Freaking gift-wrapped a 3-1 lead only to choke it away then call out his team and threaten them.

Even worse, he has NEVER won a playoff series without having a top 3 talented team in the NBA.

As for regular season best record for the Cavs, the East is horrible still. People seem to forget that. The top 3 are pretty good and the rest, including the Hawks were either mediocre or utter shite.

Kobe has a much better team and played poorly (poorly meaning poorly for a Top 10/15 player in NBA history) in the NBA Finals against this Celtics team.

Poorly would be a HUGE understatement.

He was god awful in the final 3 games, shooting like 30% from the field, or close to it.

Your fricking stupid, you know why he didn't win? Maybe because he had on of the worst playoff starting lineups in history

Or maybe it's because he gave up in game 7?

I mean, they were good enough to get to game 7 in the 1st round at least, and may have won if Kobe didn't play hot potato with the ball in the 2nd half.

Kobe brought the below team to almost 50 wins in one of the most stacked conferences in history.

45-37 is not almost 50 wins. And they were a 7-seed. But yes, that team sucked. He also led the same roster to three shitty records in the seasons surrounding that by the way. And again, quit on his team and demanded a trade until he was gift-wrapped Gasol.

Kobe had a good reason to be pissed, and honestly so does lebron, but kobe's supporting cast at that point was awful.

You said "no one" said the Lakers were better.

I'm fairly certain more people picked the Lakers to win then the Cavs. And even if not, it's no where near "no one".

There's zero excuse for giving up.

And only 1 of the 2 can be obviously accused of giving up, and that was Kobe in game 7.

To say that LeBron's team is all of a sudden terrible is a gross overreaction. They swept Kobe's Lakers in the regular season, remember? The Cavs absolutely dominated L.A. in L.A. on Christmas, not LeBron, the Cavs. They were a good team who got outplayed and outworked by the Celtics. It doesn't help that their leader played poorly (by his normal play) overall and showed little leadership when it mattered. This is not the Orlando series from last year where you can completely let LeBron off the hook. The two games the Cavs won in this series, LeBron shot the ball well and was aggressive. The four games the Cavs lost, LeBron shot the ball poorly and was more passive. They go as he goes.

Correct. Only he didn't step up in other areas like Lebron did, and for some reason Kobe was pretty much never dogged like Lebron is being now after those 3 games.

Not even close actually.

While it's inexcusable in any situation, Kobe's management pretty much lied to him. They said he'd get help, then they signed Vlad Rad to a 30 million dollar, five year contract. His team was scrubby as frick, LeBron's is competitive. This Cavs team played well throughout the season. They played great team defensive and played within their roles. They were pretty much the definition of team. Those Lakers teams were a bunch of dumbasses who had no business in the NBA.

Your such a lebron nut hugger, Kobe's team had no buisness even being in the playoffs. Without Kobe that team wins 12 games at best. The reason Kobe didn't advance is his team, period. Blame game 7 on Kobe all you want, but the blame rests on his team.

Actually pretty much, except he played better than Kobe.

Kobe 08 Finals:
53-131, .405pct, 25.7 pts., 4.7 rbs, 5 ast.
Kobe- last 3 games of NBA Finals
21-62, .339pct, 21.3pts., 4.7 rbs., 5 ast.

Lebron, this series
55-114, .482 pct., 26.8pts., 9.3 rbs., 7.2 ast
Lebron, last 3 games
18-51, .353pct., 21.3, 11.3 rbs., 8.3 ast.
