You must not have knowledge of the intensity of Stanford-Cal rivalry. I can understand your thoughts on USC-ND, as it is ND-USC and surely you hate one of them at least. 
It is arguably the biggest national rivalry in CF.

the avs wings was a great example...I think "rivalry" gets thrown around alot now... for example... yankees red sox is a great rivalry for the fans but the players do not really hate each other...

i view west virginia/pittsburgh CFB a pretty big rivalry. Backyard BRAWL! especially bitter since Pitt ruined their shot at the NC =D
