Our facilities are constantly being upgraded
This is a step any team wanting to make a move would have to show to a "better" conference. So check

This year we would have been near the top of CUSA
Probably 2nd tier behind Houston, SMU, Southern MISS, and TULSA

Our location is ideal and right in the center of CUSA
Now this is Tech's biggest problem, their is nothing "ideal" about Ruston, LA. It's in the middle of nowhere, Teams have to fly into Shreveport then commute by bus to Ruston, the market is small, It's a small rural area, But the Shreveport Market thing is a Hoax, Other then Tech Alumni in the area it is a LSU town through and through, what is tech avg in attendance? Serious question, probably around 19,000? Then you have to look at your other non revenue sports, non of which are dominant in the WAC and don't bring a good turn out to games. When C-USA makes a decision though it is going to come down to market size first and foremost. Teams like UNT, MT, and either FIU or FAU all have a leg up because of market size. Even though none of them control their respective markets.

Man don't get me to lying, you come out cold in a game that means everything to the other team. Not to mention we couldn't stop a bubble screen to save our lives
It was an aggravating game for sure, Getting Gautier heeled up will make a world of difference for ZONA and the bowl game, having your starter have to come out every other possession because he took a lick is not good for any kind of offensive rhythm

I've read countless threads on the subject. Tech fans just have a Ole Miss like sense of self worth about themselves for no reason.
*this next statement is by no means a flame or me saying that ULL is going to be accepted to C-USA before Tech
But if you were looking at our two schools in particular and the breakdown of qualities C-USA would be looking for it would break down in favor of UL
Football- weakest sport over the last decade, On the rise going to it's first FBS bowl and returning the majority of the team next season, in it's first year in a new system. Averaged just under 30k in attendance, stadium can hold up to 45k with renovations starting at the end of next season to expand to 50k with new press boxes and luxury seating
Baseball- Top 20 in attendance every year, Frequent NCAA regional contestant, In the last ten years some trips deep into the CWS.Stadium renovation taking place after this season.
Softball- Perennial Sun belt champion and Top 25 program, Frequently in Super-regional's and WCWS. New Stadium that is first class.
Men's BBALL- play's in the nicest Basketball arena in the state, Coming off a west division championship and finished the year on a 10 game conference winning streak.
women's basketball- Sucks
Acadiana is a larger market then Lincoln parish.
Lafayette>Ruston
Lafayette potential for future support and funding > light years over Ruston.
Like I said I don't believe we are at the top of the list either so don't have a heart-attack. Although if this was happening a year down the line UL would be a front-runner for C-USA
