Tech can't finish 8th. The current teams tied for 8th both have 15 losses. Tech has 11 losses.
Much appreciated. Have fixed that. Tech has done a very good job of getting back on track after that late season slump.

Not much positive for the Warhawks.
Their head coach is getting a lot of strange so there's that.

if this is an outlook for the rest of the season, then it should just be what RPI is giving us:
1. LSU - in
2. SLU - in
3. Tech - in
4. McNeese - on bubble
5. UL - out @ #50
6. Tulane - out
1. LSU - in
2. SLU - in
3. Tech - in
4. McNeese - on bubble
5. UL - out @ #50
6. Tulane - out

Would live to put SLU as "in"...just don't think any Southland team is safely in without winning the tourney.
I'm hoping SLU and McNeese fa e off in the finals and both earn bids.

Pretty pleased with how the Demons competed last night. Started 4 freshman. Demons main weakness has been pitching which should have an improvement next year.
I can definitely see NSU being a threat in the SLC in 2 years as the younger players mature and gain experience.

With the exception of the first 7 words, I agree with this. LSU (you know, THAT LSU) got left out with a Top 30 RPI. That is an SEC school (Top Conference RPI in 2011) that had a 25 RPI and finished the season on a 12-3 run in their last 15.
Southeastern is easily in the same neighborhood as that LSU team, in a conference with a worse RPI than the SEC in 2011.
It would be great to see 4 or 5 Louisiana schools in, but I doubt 2 from the Southland get in, unless both SELU and McNeese are in the title game and win at least 2 of 3 this weekend.
ULL needs a conference tourney title at this point as well.

Southern stays alive, 6-2 over Alabama A&M

Cajuns up 11-1 in the 6th

McNeese up 10-2 in the 8th.
Houston Baptist has 9 losses in conference and is currently down 2-0 in the 8th against SFA. If HBU loses any game this weekend and the Cowboys win any, McNeese will clinch the Southland Conference regular season title and #1 seed.
All this being said, not sure how someone figured McNeese going 1-2 this weekend would give SELU the conference title. They have 10 conference losses; McNeese has 7. McNeese wins the title if they win 1 game and HBU loses.

Cowboys win, 10-2.
SFA wins 4-0 over HBU.
Cowboys win the conference for the first time since 2006.

Justin Hill's time is limited in Lake Charles unfortunately.

Very likely, but hopefully we can create an atmosphere and program that can be known as a stepping stone to something bigger.

Cajuns win 16-2. 20th win in a row against ULM
Posted on 5/18/17 at 9:14 pm to hendersonshands
Final: UL 16 ULM 3
Also, Ruston drops the first one 6-3 in Tennessee.

ULM officially eliminated from the Sun Belt tournament.

I've thought this all along. I think it's a forgone conclusion if they win the Southland Conference Tournament.
This team has beem better with each year he has been there. Hate to lose him, but we just aren't at the level to hold a guy if the bigger boys come calling.

How many ridiculous arse kickings has ULM endured this year?
I mean hell, they lost 2 games to McNeese by a combined score of 46-9.
ETA: They've actually only lost 5 games by double digit runs. They have, however, given up double digit runs in 17 games. And only scored double digit runs once...
Sheesh!
