Tucker can be streaky. He goes through periods where he looks like Ted Williams and he can go through periods where he looks like crap.
I look brilliant here.

Bump. Tucker benched both games in a double header by a rookie. All while the Astros remain in 1st and continue their dynasty.

You’re in 2nd place. Brewers are broke and are still lapping that lazy division.

I would be interested to hear from the rational Cubs fans how they feel now and whether they want to keep him.

For the first half of the season, I thought he was worth every penny of a half billion dollar contract. Not only was he putting up amazing numbers, but he was making everyone else around him better. Suzuki had a better 1st half than any whole year in his career. PCA was an MVP candidate. Busch was an all star snub who put up great numbers.

But you can't have a $500M player be this bad for this long. Everyone slumps, but Tucker has been one of the worst hitters in MLB for the last 7 weeks. Now, the Cubs are playing games that are really important to them hosting the wild card series at Wrigley where they've won 65% of their games, and he's benched for a rookie against the best team in baseball. I just can't see how they can justify to themselves that he's worth what it will take to sign him at this point.
