Kobe's biggest weakness has always been his ego. It is also one of his biggest strengths as it bleeds into his competitive nature
He's intense. Intense about winning and thats it. I respect that. Jordan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kobe
but, he's the closest we have seen since MJ.

Kobe has very talented teammates. He just doesn't have mean teammates. And to win in the finals, you need a little meanness in your team.
The sad truth is that this Celtics team reminds of a school yard bully. If you punch them one good time in the mouth, they are done. I think Kobe understands that, having done this to KG repeatedly while KG was in Minny.
His teammates, while great, don't seem to have that fighting spirit.

While I agree that kobe's teamates are soft, they did punch the celtics in the mouth in game 1.

I guess I'm talking more of a curb stomping. Allen, Pierce, and KG were all perennial losers and chokers before coming together. I think a good curb stomping might bring back flashes of the past, much like the Lakers who are now flashing back to 2008.

The winning formula for the Lakers is simple IMO. If Ron makes his open shots, and Pau outplays KG, Lakers win. That's all it takes and is not asking a lot.

Odom not backing down and turning KG into a girl is what the Lakers need.
I hope you're not counting on this to happen.

Uh...no
I learned to stop counting on Odom in 2005.

I feel like that is a one of the best statements said about the series. When they are matched in terms of "physicality" they dont know how to react because teams usually bow down to them...
Kobe knows he cant be the only one swinging..

I dont know what happened to this..the players literally have the free reign to do whatever they want since the ref (cough the league) decided before the finals that no one would get their 7th tech or get ejected unless it as totally outta bounds.
I think they are just dejected, but not intimidated
