To the St. Louis area residents who became Chiefs fans long before January 2016 and had to endure annual postseason shortcomings, I’m glad you have been rewarded with a team that is the envy of the league. To the post Jan 16ers, kids aside, kick rocks.

So many "lifelong" fans of the Chiefs coming out of the woodwork, I personally know of one actual Chiefs fan who attended their training camps in Wisconsin that dealt with so many down years.

Even worse, but in a different sport, in 2004, I knew a Red Sox fan in Alabama shorty after they broke their drought. He never even so much as talked about them prior.
