Yet Kareem has more NBA MVPs than Jordan meaning hes the best player in the NBA not just his team

Jordan took two of his prime years off and played five less years and still has nearly the same stats in every category sans blocks.

GOATs aren't lazy bums that sellout their team and fans.

That would be like saying Barry Sanders is better than Walter Payton and Emmit Smith because he retired in his prime.

You're basically saying Jamie Moyer is better than Sandy Koufax because he had more strikeouts.

You thought sports writers selected Kareem as MVP now making an irrelevant basbeball analogy. Quit while you're ahead kid

You'd have a better argument if he played in the NBA those two years, but athletes that make dumb decisions don't deserve the label of GOAT.

Lew Alcindor ---> Kareem Abdul Jabbar

Dumb decision. Can't be GOAT.

Changing your name can't be lumped into the same category as quitting your job because your scumbag dad was murdered

I forgot that a football analogy is so much more relevant.

You're so old and wise.

Clearly Kareem was better because he has 1 more MVP that's still objective.

Never mind that he average under 25 points a game and MJ averaged 30.

Of that MJ has 8 more scoring titles.

Kareem is better because he hung around till he was 41.

Sure it can. Just the same as you can call retiring "quitting", subjectivity reigns supreme.

You've proven yourself incompetent. Go google how MVP voting works and we can talk.

You compared MJ retiring after winning a 3pete to barry Sanders quitting because the lions sucked so bad.

Yeah you're super competent. But hey I guess I should
Have know how the MVP was decided 10 years before my birth.

So we're penalizing guys because their argument opponents chose to retire from their profession twice? That literally makes zero sense, MJ's an autonomous human no one was compelling him to retire. Also, history doesn't operate on hypotheticals it operates on actual facts and the fact remains Kareem exceeds MJ in all those stats, played better longer, won the same amount of NBA titles, advanced to 10 NBA Finals series and was decorated with more honors. Also, 24-11-4-2 is an incredible career average statline over a 20-year span, a double-double career average not even MJ can claim that. Therefore, Kareem was better just accept that.

It's pretty much common knowledge for anyone that follows the NBA.

Always good to do a little rearch so you don't get owned in internet arguments, but I guess you are used to that by now on the poli board

Just like MJ being the GOAT.

So you know I guess we're 1-1.

Stats? Well, I could just average things and everything but blocks and rebounds swings to Jordan, including NBA MVP's, Championships, All NBA First Teams, and scoring.

Man, I love me some stats!
