So James Harrison should stop trying to help his team win because he'll get a fine?

yeah, I guess if you hurt every player on the opposing team, you'll win a lot of games

if you can't understand why these types of hits should be illegal, there isn't much hope for you

the NFL's product is its players, if all their players are hurt because of shite like this, there's no product, is there?

If you can't understand that it is impossible to play competitive football without helmet to helmet hits then there isn't much hope for you.

Hundreds of thousands of helmet to helmet hits happen every single week at every level.

Also if the NFL gave a crap about there players and product then they wouldn't be putting in 2 extra games

And a tiny fraction of those involve one player using their protective gear as a weapon in order to injure the opposing player.

this tiny fraction should be penalized for it in a properly officiated setting.

You said yourself it is protective gear right? Well what is it protecting you from? I think you will get the answer.

Listen to Mike Golic right now on the radio.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and agree with SFP for once... you are one of the worst posters on this site.

The protective gear is not intended to be used as a weapon. Period.

When used this way, it's been shown time and again to cause damage instead of protecting a player from it. See: the Rutgers player who may never walk again.

The Rutgers player executed a standard open field tackle helmet to lower body. Horrible injury but that same exact tackle happens a 100+ in every single football game since the inception of football. The only way to avoid that is by not playing football.

Answer the question what is the protective gear protecting you from?

So you think player wear pads and helmets to protect them from the ball and the ground

Did they not cause Cribbs and the other guy to drop the ball?

That is just horrible logic. You could justify anything by saything that.

Besides, Harrison could have given just as big of a hit and seperated Massaquoi from the ball by lowering his shoulder and hitting him in the chest (you know, the place the ball was actually going to have to be caught??)

You are really hopeless.

He could have easily made the same damn play by just hitting the guy in the chest. Leading with his head was uncalled for.

lol you do realize the that chest and head are inches away? You really think Harrison is supposed to know the exact spot that he hits. You really think guys have pinpoint accuracy of where they are hitting... that is not his job his job is to make him drop the ball.
