Which countries (that you have been to) would have crowds that would flock to Lebron over Ronaldo? Name them.

Name a country besides the United States (or Canada) in which that would happen.

Alright. I'll give you that one. The Chinese aren't that great at soccer.
United States, Canada, and China. Large countries, yes, but (if you go by the number of 207...number of sovereign states in the world), 204 > 3.
And yet you still think Lebron is a bigger worldwide brand?

Soccer is actually probably number one in China but they've had big success in basketball. Table tennis is huge too!

As a whole, golf just doesn't command the same worldwide attention as basketball. Basketball has grown more worldwide, by far, than any other sport in the last 20-30 years
You don't know anything about golf. Golf is extremely popular in Asia and growing like a weed! Golf is played on 6 continents! Tiger Woods is the most popular athlete in the world!

That being said to be fair basketball has been trending up with soccer maybe down. Basketball could be above soccer now. It has been a great increase since the '90's.

10. Lionel Messi
Damn going by that list the NBA players are doing good since they ONLY play in ONE country, don't live in other countries, etc. People in Europe, Asia, etc don't get the chance to see pro basketball players from the U.S. in person unless it's the Olympics. Now if we had the NBA playing in Europe a few times a month I promise you Lebron, Kobe, Rose, Howard etc would sky rocket to the top of that list.
NBA,NFL, and MLB players don't even play over seas, in multiple countries(not counting one NFL game in Europe each year) and they are still popular around the world. That says enough.

Why is David Beckham still relevant? I thought soccer fans were more discerning than the average sports fan.

Beckham is pop culture. He matters on the social spectrum now.

The hoes like Beckham. He only matters in advertising.
It is just like Jordan being in a ton of ads.
