Is it safe to now talk about how mid level Mahomes has been?

And it isn’t a short period of time. It’s for two full seasons

2024

3,928 yards—26 tds—11ints—93.5 rating

2023

4183 yards—27 tds—14ints—92.6 rating

He is sitting right around 13th statistically as a QB these last two seasons. Also, the chiefs scoring offense is 15th in both 2024 and 2023

It’s legit he has not been great and his team is carried with what the defense can do

And yes, his weapons aren’t great, but that’s kinda the point of an elite QB……You make your offense good no matter what

Do we expect him to get back to being in the Allen, burrow, Lamar tier?

He’s the most overrated quarterback of all-time.

It's always been about his postseason play.

He was great against the 49ers and Eagles in 2023.

Last night i don't know what qb could've beaten the Eagles with that oline playing as bad as they did.

Overall yes he's been mid as frick.

I mean, not really

His regular season play from 2019-2022 was also elite as hell

And last night I agree wasn’t about him. But that’s why I’m using a 34 game sample size. It’s been just so mediocre

He had some impressive years but the team has been carried by defense the last couple years. He still has the raw talent and is probably a true #1 WR away from being dangerous again. His ability to create when the pocket breaks down was a bit overrated and that was shown last night IMO.

Very similar to Brady’s stats in his first 5-6 years.

If he needs a “true WR 1” he isn’t who I thought he was

Brady, Brees, and yes even Allen makes the offense hummm even when they didn’t have elite WRs

If Mahomes can’t do that he isn’t what I thought he was

Brady wasn’t elite when they won the Super Bowl in 2018 either. Expecting these guys to consistently have elite years isn’t realistic

4400 yards(only 16 games)—29 tds—11ints—98 rating

That would be a big improvement from Mahomes the last two seasons….

It’s fine to have some games you aren’t great

I’m using a 34 game sample size…..That’s pretty large

His weapons aren’t great and his o-line is dogshit. He’s doing his best out there.

Top 5 o line across pretty much every single rating agency for offensive lines

Doesn't mean they didn't play like complete arse last night, especially the tackles

That’s how they won so many games this year. Mahomes can make magic happen on literally any play. Eventually you run into a team like Philly that just has your number. There was nothing any QB could have done with the offensive line playing so bad and the Eagles defensive line playing so good.

Yeah it’s time to have this talk

And I have no answers

Last year making an adjustment without Tyreek, meh, I can see some growing pains, but it’s weird that their offense still looks so pedestrian.

I was so sure he was the guy, but it may be time to retool some things in the offseason if he’s ever gonna get back to that level
