Sure. If it's two guys who are essentially peers and one makes a demand that the other does not agree to, you tell the guy to frick off and be done with it. If it's simply a conflict of two relative equals, it's highly unlikely the one demanding is going to be able to really do anything about it. In a vacuum it ends there. It is pretty apparent that the there were more people involved and some power/trust instilled in incognito by the organization. You're reaching pretty far to attempt to find me advocating violence in your mind. Since this statement was made we've learned about Ireland, other teammates taking up for incognito, Martin backing out if trip, etc. It's all still hearsay.
Why do you have to someone's "physical equal" for conflict resolution? I don't see why that is necessary.

You don't. Not at all. But at the time I believe the discussion was about incognito demanding money and being a physical threat to Martin and apparently demanding 15k dollars. If Martin is unwilling to give him money("frick off"), and it was simply a one on one conflict(it likely wasn't about money at all we have learned) , and incognito could not take the money by force/physically intimidate him into giving it to him, then the only recourse incognito really had was to then break the law if he wanted 15k dollars from Martin.

So everything in this story has little to do with what happened after the preseason of his rookie year, where under all understanding the major issues took place.
This former player clearly has his agenda, and otherwise he wouldn't try to paint such a rosey picture given only being around the situation for less than 20% of the time this has gone on.
That said, there is no excuse for threatening a person's well-being or that of their family. Icognito clearly did that from the text messages, and that should be enough for a suspension in my opinion. From what can be connected, he didn't like this kid not sucking him off and doing every crappy thing he asked and took it personally. He dealt with it poorly, and now both are suffering the consequences.

Only problem with that is the statement from Hartline stating that the voice mail was a big joke and Martin himself was laughing about it.
Also multiple players stating that incognito and Martin were actually very good friends. Still all hearsay.

I still don't know what equality in size has to do with that (outside of a physical altercation), but ok.

That's all. I meant he couldn't be bullied in the traditional physical sense when I posted that.

Clearly not the case if the team has made such a drastic decision here.

Sounds like damage control for their buddy. You have a guy with a history of being a complete POS everywhere he's been, and all of a sudden he's some great guy when every reason to bet that he's mostly at fault in the situation exists.

Mental bullying is far worse IMO than physical bullying. Both can be tough to get through, but mental bullying lives deeper and in the psyche and that is the issue.
That said, most of the times it is a combination of both and size isn't an issue. A smaller guy that is simply psychotic and doesn't give a damn going insane on you is just as much an issue.

Agreed that is damage control too.
