How many 3 or 4? Kurt Warner's are extreme exceptions.
Joe Montana, Raymond Berry, Dan Fouts, Bob Hayes, and Chrlie Joiner are just a few examples of players who arrived in the league with little fanfare and had to wait for their chance to prove themselves. They are all in the Hall of Fame.
Hell in the league now you have guys like Tony Romo, Matt Schaub, Kyle Orton, Arian Foster, Michael Turner, BenJarvus Green Ellis, LaGarette Blount, Danny Woodhead, Mike Tolbert, and Chris Ivory who had to wait to unusual/unfortunate circumstances to be given the chance to prove themselves and that's just at two positions.
There are stars and even just good players just waiting for a chance to prove themself all over the league. To say that the league wouldn't be able to move on because Peyton Manning and Drew Brees won't be playing is just asinine. The league was around before them and will be around long after they retire.

So next year if the Pats are 2-8 missing all of their 'stars' and watching some QB (who's probably worse than Brady Quinn), how do you think that'll go down?
So the league will suffer if the Patriots suck? Hell I'd prefer that they did suck. Tired of seeing their cheating asses in the playoffs. Get some new blood in the league. Let someone else win some games and make the playoffs.

It's always funny when people whine about spoiled greedy athletes as a means of defending league owners.
it's unreal.
I will be one of the first to call out players when they're being jackasses and overstepping their bounds.
But at the same time I realize the value of the athletes and how quickly owners will try to take what they can.
I just don't really understand how someone can take the owners' side in this one

don't be an uppity idiot and play the stereotype game. 90% of the players are good normal people
You are wrong. A lot of them are good, normal people but the number is a lot lower than 90%. Hell what was the percentage of good, normal baseball players that were juicing behind everybody's back?

what the hell does this mean? Money is still money here. Fairness is what's in question.
It means you're still going to make far more money in the NFL than you would in any other field using your talents of being strong and fast. The owners set up the league, they pay the players' pension, they set up all the leases, they take on all the financial risk should people stop watching their product, why would they have to split their profits equally with their employees? Can you name any other companies in the country where the employees sitting behind desks make the same amount (collectively) as the owners of the company?

way to stay focused on the big picture you dolt.
Whether or not you hate the Patriots, you'll watch them to either hope they win or lose. You do that because they have great players.
I was using the Pats as an 'example'. Stay with us here MSBtard.

So your basis for supporting the owners is "cause they own the shite"?

behind who's back? And you missed the fundamental point that these people aren't different from everyone else. They've just been put in unusual circumstances and they adjust.
Everyone seems to forget that these people are normal, but get put into a much different life. So if you take 100 insurance salesmen in a work environment and tell them that steroids will make them tens of millions of dollars, the same percentage of them would do it as we had in baseball.

yeah cause that's the same situation. thousands upon thousands of college graduates leaving school every year qualified to do these jobs. But there is ONE Julio Jones this year. One.

but what you aren't getting is that they don't own shite without the players putting out a product that people want to watch.

No shite but if you told him to run with a football they'd say that guy is faster than 99.9% of everyone else in the world. They know who #28 for the Titans is and if another guy is wearing #28 and running a 4.7 they would definitely notice.
You do realize that the difference between a 3.7 and a 4.2 is hardy noticeable on the field of play is hardly, if ever noticeable right? Chris Johnson is great in part because of his speed, not exclusively because of it. Jerry Rice ran a 4.7 btw and he is in the Hall of Fame. Justin Miller ran in the 4.3s at the combine, do you even know who he is now?

Does any high school get 65,000+?
Your point? Does any pro team get over 100,000 consistently for home games?

People don't want crappy football.
So just because it's not the guys you like means it will be crappy? I hope you don't watch any high school football and ignore all but a few college football games.

HAHAHA, so you don't think people can tell the difference between Chris Johnson running and Justin Vincent at top speed? Give it a rest.

1. You mad.
2. I'm going to watch the NFL regardless. I don't have a team. All I care about is watching the game. Like I said, the names on the back of the jerseys don't mean a damn thing to me. Same goes with my alma mater. They come and they go, but my love for my school and my team will stay the same regardless of the players.
