Peyton has always been selfish. He talks a good game about putting the team ahead of himself. But he's all about getting passing records.

Are you talking about Manning or Drew Brees?

I like Peyton. Easily one of my favorite pros.
But I'll just say this: None of his backups have EVER been good. Especially the ones he's "mentored".

Peyton has always been top dog qb since he can grip the football. Now that he's gotten old and his body can't do what it used to, it hard for him to accept that it's over.
It's part of life. The young up and Comers always take the place of the old and declining players.

Look at who he's had behind him his WHOLE career:
'98-'00: Kelly Holcomb
'99: Steve Walsh
'00: Billy Hobert
'01: Mark Rypien
'02-'03: Brock Huard
'04-'09: Jim Sorgi
'09-'11: Curtis Painter
'11: Kerry Collins
'12-present: Brock Osweiler
Who of those names would have done ANYTHING? none. A lot of them were vets too. Let's not make it sound like they spent some early 1st-3rd round draft on Manning's backups in Indy. They never needed to, dude was like Favre until his neck fusions.

He's probably trying to make it out of bed. His body has taken a beating and he should have hung it up a couple of years ago. Questioning his leadership is humorous. Peyton touch you in all the wrong places?
Because you can only show people what to do you can't make them. He's always studying and looking at formations even after he's thrown several tds in a game and he also reads the secondary off of all the studying. You can't make a person study like that, they have to have the drive.
