And we get to listen to these "protestors" whine about a paycut due to their actions.

Question 2: Why would the players experience a paycut? Aren't their salaries locked in by contract?

And you people watch the game...you dont even know whats going on.

you just go team go! and cheer like a moron.

quote:

The salary cap system, which sets both a floor and a ceiling on what a team can (or must) spend on player salaries, is interrelated with the League’s revenue sharing system because each year the salary cap’s floor and ceiling are set at a percentage of DGR.14

No shite. Explain how a contract that's already been signed will be reduced next year. Is it based on percentage of the salary cap, or is it a set figure?

School me, o wise one.

Dude is a dumbass. He seems to think contracts are based on percentage of salary cap, and not on actual figures.

You know, its funny. I would tell Cpt Bengal to go back to the Poli Board where he has some expertise, but he's the biggest moron over there, too

You do realize the guy has a point. If revenues go down then the salary cap will go down and that means players will have to be cut or renegotiate their contracts. I know he didn't explain it well but all of you are jumping this guy like he's a dumbass when you are the ones that can't read between the lines.

This is as funny as the "NFL 10% off" sale on Stubhub.

A little extra work tells you the sale applya to the NHL as well.

They're so stupid they don't even know they're wrong.

But as soon as some dimwit at ESPN figures it out they'll all rush here to post it 25 times.

Salary Cap increases are based on the previous years revenue. It doesnt have an effect on previous contracts signed. So it will affect future contracts down the road and teams who have based previous contracts on expected salary cap increases.

Also dont entertain cptbengl, dude Is a racist and a joke.
