That is true. I can concede that. But I still feel a bad loss should count more than a bad win.

They use Toonces for LSU's logo. Discredits the whole thing.

LSU needs to start suing people that do that. We have completely stopped using that logo.

I think Vegas should handle an official strength of schedule used for these things.

Basically create a line for each team vs. every other team in the country at a neutral site. From there you could really develop a solid SOS that updates every week. Would take a frick ton of man power, but it could be done.

There are plenty of ranked teams that would be double digit underdogs to unranked teams. This makes SOS based on rankings and predominantly own-conference based schedules almost laughable.

Illinois has the 56th ranked SOS and South Carolina has the 11th ranked SOS.

I guarantee if they played each other, Vegas would have Carolina at least a 7 pt favorite.

See my previous post in this thread.

Notice Wisconsin is #4 and Florida is #11 using this advanced base ranking.

You can play around all day long and Wisconsin beats Flotida more often than not on their ranking tool. That’s why, with the exact same 10-2 record, Wisconsin ends up ranked one spot ahead of Florida.

AFter playing with this, I'm okay with Wisconsin ahead of Florida

But this metric has Bama in damn near every top 5 I am adjusting with the sliders. Convince me why the committee dropped them 7 spots to number 12 (with those metrics). I'm having a hard time understanding how Bama is not even in the top 10.

It's just funny how there is no consistency, and when the committee head has been asked to clarify rankings, he uses different metrics every week, at the expense of ignoring metrics they used the previous week

For the first time, LSU has a dog in this fight, so naturally, LSU fans are a little at odds with this process.

Illinois with losses to Northwestern and Eastern Michigan, Nebraska (3 teams that aren't going bowling, South carolina only lost to bowl elligible teams)

You literally contradict yourself in the 11 words you typed.

So teams can't get better during the season while Bama got worse?
